Slumdog Millionaire sure is inspiring some extra reactions among Indians. Nicholas Almeida, a slum dweller who has filled a complaint in a local court against Danny Boyle, producer Christian Colson and the distributor of the film for the 'damaging discriminating' title, has named stray dogs after those involved in the film in the protest. Nicholas held a naming ceremony for stray dogs in the slum to publicies his cause. " I have named them Danny, Christian, Loveleen, Dev and Frieda, " he said, referring to the director, producer, Co-director Loveleen Tandan and actors Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto.

According to the report of a UK magazine, Pinto is a hot contender to star opposite Daniel Craig in the next film Bond 23. It has also been reported that the director of Slumdog Millionaire. Danny Boyle will be helming the next spy thriller. So far, Frieda has neither confirmed nor denied this story. Pinto is being regarded as a symbol of a ' New Young Indian', filled with promise and potential: she's modern, beautiful, articulate, independently successful, part of a growing middle-class that's equally at home in the East and West.
